2022 Book Week In The Library
Assembly speech by Sebastian Suesser
“Good morning everyone. Today I will be talking about the library games that took place just over a week ago to celebrate Book Week. Students were encouraged to sign up for the library games throughout the week preceding the event. On the day of the event, the 24th of August is when all the fun began. The games consisted of Nerf Gun Target Shooting, Quoits, Mini Golf, Tremble Knee and throwing ping pong balls into cups. The games were a lot of fun and I feel bad for the students that were not able to participate as they missed out on a lot of exciting activities.
I feel fortunate to have led a fantastic team, The Buddy Brawlers, who won the games. I encourage everyone to participate in any library events as they are engaging and fun. You also learn more about how to work in a team while effectively using everyone’s strengths to the teams’ advantage.
Regarding the Premier’s Reading Challenge, unfortunately only less than a handful of students completed the challenge. I call on all the students to participate in and complete the Literati Cup and The Premiers Reading Challenge in the years to come.
Reading has become a critically endangered pass time; only together can we change this. Thank you,”
