Inaugural Farrer Robotics Tournament
Eight Farrer teams competed in our first robotics tournament today. The boys worked hard and managed to put some solid scores up, but were outclassed by some outstanding teams.
Congratulations to all the boys who work so hard on their robots and for their excellent sportsmanship on the day.
Special congratulations to team 2340A Albert Einswine who won the judges award for their outstanding efforts both on the field and in the interview process.
Well done to all the 24 Yr 11 students who worked tirelessly as volunteers on the day, especially Will Hamell and Forbes Murdoch for acting as MC and head referees and Regan Popperwell as scorekeeping referee.
Special thanks to Nick Brady, Mrs Milne, Julian Mann from the Tamworth Regional council, Trevor Bradbury from the Tamworth Tech Shed, Lael Grant from Grok Learning and Jarod Li from Sydney Robotics Academy for lending their time and expertise to the Judging team.
We are now looking forward to our next event on the 20th of October, with another 8 Farrer teams competing to earn a spot at the NSW championships in November.
