Chess Club
Students at Farrer are offered the opportunity to become members of the chess roll call. On a daily basis students will compete in friendly games against one another, improving their strategies through gameplay and discussion with others. This is an excellent way to interact with peers from other year groups, make new friends and develop tactical ways of thinking.
Throughout the year, members of the chess roll call are also given the option of participating in various external chess tournaments and
meetings, both competitive and friendly in nature. These events provide our young men with experience playing chess in a competitive
environment against unfamiliar opponents.
