Health Centre

The Health Centre is staffed by trained health care professionals and operates from 7:00am until 11:00pm every day during school terms. Matrons are on call for after hours care between 11:00pm and 7:00am.

They facilitate immunisation programs, administer recurring medications, treat minor injuries or sickness, and organise external medical treatment where necessary. As Registered Nurses, they are also a valuable resource in the care and wellbeing of students.

Under the supervision of the WHS Officer, the Health Centre staff have been crucial to the management of COVID-19 within the school (NSW Dept of Education Covid-19 policy).

The Health Centre will contact parents immediately regarding any serious medical problems and facilitate ambulance transport in emergencies. Note that NSW Government Schools have Ambulance Cover in place, so that any student who has an accident or falls ill and requires an ambulance whilst at school or on an organised school excursion or activity, will receive this service at no expense to the school or parents.

To update your son’s medical information, complete form P.11 and to submit approval for administration of prescription medication, complete form P.12. Both forms are available in our Form Bank.
