15’s CHS Basketball Report

In Term 3, the 15’s basketball team played in a gala day in Tamworth that involved Oxley High School, Armidale Secondary College, Peel High School and Tamworth High School. Farrer were undefeated on the day and advanced to the next round of the CHS knockout.

In the following two rounds, we secured two more wins against Glen Innes and Coonabarabran High School, making us the North West Champions.

This week, we played Bathurst High School in the round of 16. We got off to a strong lead in the first quarter and managed to keep the pressure on throughout the entire game, coming away with a 57-19 win.

We now go on to play in the Top 8 Finals series in Sydney in Week 4 of this term.

We would like to thank Billy Ryan for refereeing our games throughout the season, James Sampson and Oliver Wilson for assisting with training and scoring, the refectory and Health Centre for keeping us well fed and fit to play, and to the parents, staff and students who supported us in our last game.
