Stan Jones Regional Tennis Final
Farrer’s 1st IV Tennis Team travelled to Guyra to play Guyra Central School for the Stan Jones Tennis Regional Title on the 13th June.
WW1 Living History
Shane Blackman from WW1 Living History came to Farrer to share historical artefacts and knowledge about the frontline experiences of trench warfare in World War I.
UAA/NIAS Indigenous Talent ID Day
Indigenous students aged 13 – 16 traveled to Armidale for a day of fun-filled sports activities and fitness testing.

The Farrer Leo Club braved the cold at the annual ‘Vinnies Community Sleepout’ on Saturday 22 June.
Bull Sale comes to an end
The students did an excellent job cataloguing 43 bulls from leading Australian and USA sires and successfully achieved a high clearance rate at today's sale.

What a Carnival
What an incredible day at our athletics carnival! Student participation was outstanding and everyone giving their best. We witnessed six records being broken, showcasing some incredible talent from our boys.
Years 10-12 surveying industry day
Years 10-12 attended a surveying industry day where they participated in three hands on activities of GPS, peg out /shed set activity and contour topography with grid books.
Sky Story Symposium
10 Indigenous students participate in the ‘Sky Story Symposium’ held at Narrabeen Sport and Rec Centre. This program aims to foster connections among Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander students from selective high schools and opportunity classes.

Year 11 Breeza Station Farm Case Study
Year 11 Ag students had the wonderful opportunity to travel out to Breeza Station for their Farm Case Study topic and were fortunate enough to learn from the Pursehouse Family about their extensive mixed farming system.
Men's Health Week
The Student Wellbeing Committee celebrated Men's Health Week today at assembly with a talk by school captain Iva Haling. Iva spoke of the challenges that can come along with both physical and mental health for men and that sometimes men think that they always have to be stoic and resilient and that this means not asking for help when they need it.

Manilla Sundowners CWA Branch
Farrer Year 7 student Gideon McHugh represented Manilla Sundowners CWA Branch in the Namoi Group CWA Land Cookery Judging Day in March. He baked and decorated cupcakes in the theme Australian Native Animals in the junior section and was awarded first place.
Gunnedah Music Eisteddfod last weekend great results.
Farrer students Sean Gander and Brae Hinchcliffe attended the Gunnedah Music Eisteddfod last weekend and came home with some great results.Sean had a three big days at the Gunnedah Music Eisteddfod. He has played 6 solos on the piano taking away the Primary Pianist Award and was one of the finalist in the Secondary pianist section. Brae performed two piano solos on Saturday and gained a placing in the the category "Popular Entertainment Piano Solo - 12 years & under"
The North West Open Boys Rugby Union side met in Bathurs
The North West Open Boys Rugby Union side met in Bathurst on Tuesday, May 14th for a 3 day Championship round. The team came out with Second in State which is a phenomenal achievement and a North West record for Rugby Union.
Farrer Opens Football team played Armidale Secondary College in the regional semi-final.
Farrer Opens Football team played Armidale Secondary College in the regional semi-final on Friday.The whole team played very well and placed a lot of continual pressure on Armidale’s goal.After 2 quick goals Farrer was up 2 nil at half time and then scored another in the second half, but also missed many other chances.Reagan Popplewell using his superior speed, scored all three goals for Farrer in the decisive win.

Farrer 1st XIII played Holy Cross College in round 1 of the NRL school Boys Comp last week in Sydney. The boys tried hard right until the end but unfortunately went down 26-12 after being 12-12 at half time. Farrer 1st XIII are looking forward to round 2 which is held on 4th June against Central Coast Sports College.~ Mr Chris Train

Farrer students Myles Manning, Curtis Parkinson, William Penberthy and Sam Savovski were victorious in round 1 of the Stan Jones Tennis comp against Gunnedah High yesterday. Well done to the team and to Mr Heitmeyer for coaching. We look forward to the next round!

Students James O’Brien, Jack Rees, Hayden Benson, Archie Crowe, Harrison Hine and Drew O’Connor represented Farrer at this year’s Dubbo Prime Lamb Hoof & Hook Competition and gained success.

Last Sunday a group of boys volunteered their time to support Nundle Public School at the ‘Great Nundle Dog Race’.
Yamba Fishing Trip
It was a bad day to be a fish in Yamba last weekend. The rain and wind didn’t stop our boys from having an epic time on the water Saturday morning.
Farrer at Greater Western Rugby
A group of Farrer students participated in the Greater Western Rugby League Trials in Coonabarabran on Friday, May 3rd. The students who attended were Ted Haire, Preston Latham, Ollie Sawyer, Darcy Weatherall, Lance Latham, Luke Jeffreys, Dustin Wyrzykowski, Harrison Thrift, Leif Deitrich, Lachlan Hawkins, and Jordan Hamlin.
