Back-to-back win on Waratah Shield
Farrer’s 1st XV have gone back-to-back, defending their Waratah Shield title to once again crowned All Schools State Champions!
After a long trip to Sydney and a strong opening win over Kincumber High (34–5), the boys powered through day two. They swept aside Epping Boys 21–0, then edged out Hunter Valley Grammar in a tense 10–7 battle, thanks to a clutch turnover from Wylie Smith.
The grand final against powerhouse Hills Sports High was a brutal contest. With two tries from Henry Hubbard and relentless defence from the forwards, Farrer went into half-time up 12–5. Marshy’s words rang true: hold the ball, win the game. The final minutes were a grind, but the boys held firm to seal a famous victory.
An incredible effort from the team, staff, and supporters — back-to-back Waratah Shield champions!
