Careers at Farrer

This week, our Year 9 and 10 students have kicked off the Agtech Career Taster Program, a 5-week deep dive into the future of agriculture! In partnership with TAFE NSW and UNE SMART Farms, students are learning everything from drones and sensors to AI and smart farm design.

Last week, five of our Indigenous students took part in the Acadium Buzz Bus – Activations Workshop at Carinya Christian School. Using an interactive "Activation Tool," students explored how their dream lifestyle matches up with careers that align with their personality, interests, and values. A fantastic opportunity for career mapping, budgeting, and self-discovery. Huge thanks to Carinya and Acadium for hosting and sharing this brilliant resource with the New England region!

And let’s not forget our Year 10 White Card training from end of last term, proudly delivered by the team at Less Plex! This certification sets our students up with vital construction safety knowledge ahead of their upcoming work experience.At Farrer, we’re committed to preparing students for life after school—equipped, confident, and career-ready!
