Farrer Opens Football team played Armidale Secondary College in the regional semi-final on Friday.
The whole team played very well and placed a lot of continual pressure on Armidale’s goal. After 2 quick goals Farrer was up 2 nil at half time and then scored another in the second half, but also missed many other chances.
Reagan Popplewell using his superior speed, scored all three goals for Farrer in the decisive win.Other outstanding players were Matthew Rushbrook and Simon Mattheus.
The next game will be against the winner of Warialda and Oxley HS in the regional final.
