Finding Their Voice: Year 11 Writers at Work

The Year 11 English Advanced class began the day with a creative writing activity; their task, to create a setting that engaged the six senses. Using a writing journal as a matter of habit is an important way to foster confidence, develop a writing style and authentic sense of “voice”.

Hemingway advised ‘all you have to do is write one true sentence. Write the truest sentence that you know’.
