Northern Schools Prime Steer Competition

After many months of preparation, eight Farrer students competed in the Northern Schools Prime Steer Competition, held over two days at the Armidale Exhibition Centre. Students participated in a Junior Judging activity, showed 5 steers across two classes and entered into Stage 4 and Stage 5 Paraders competitions.

A massive congratulations to all of these students for their hard work and preparation, with two steers making finals, one of which placing 2nd in its class. Particular commendation goes to Archie Crowe, Jake Wamsley and Jack Campbell for all making the finals in their respective age groups for the Paraders Comp, and Archie Crowe qualifying for the Sydney Royal for Paraders in 2024. Our thanks to the Farm Staff and Refectory Staff for supporting the efforts and making the trip possible.
