Student Sporting Achievements
Sporting Achievements Update!
We’re proud to celebrate the outstanding accomplishments of our Farrer students-both on the field and as part of top teams across the region!
Rugby Union: Congratulations to NW secondary boys’ rugby team, who brought home the silver medal! 14 Farrer boys played in the North West Rugby team of 22-a true testament to their talent and teamwork. A special shout out to Angus Marshall and Bailey Scott who were two of three players from the NW team chosen to represent NSW CHS Rugby!
Rugby League: At the recent NW League Trials, Brooklyn Le Brocq-Watton and Fletcher Young earned selection for the Greater Western team and will compete at Figtree at the end of the month. Best of luck, boys!
Hockey: Congratulations to Archie Clarke and Gus Barwick! After standout performances at the State Championships, both have been selected for the NSW CHS team-an incredible achievement.
Australian Country Championships: Well done to Oliver Jordison and Harry Bartholomew, who represented a combined QLD team at the Australian Country Championships in the Gold Coast!
Alan Tongue 10s Rugby Tournament: Our Farrer 14s Gold & 16s took out the top spot in their comp; well done, team! Congratulations to all students who participated and represented Farrer with pride.
Basketball: On Friday, May 9th, the Farrer First V basketball team competed at Terrigal in the CHS Open Men’s state finals, securing a hard-fought 76-68 win against Ballina High before narrowly losing 53-45 to Mosman High. Although they finished second in their pool and didn’t advance to the round of 8, the team showed remarkable growth in skill, court presence, and mental toughness over the past three months.
Congratulations to the boys on a fantastic effort!
