Surveying Unleashed

Our Years 9-12 students had a fantastic time at the Surveying Industry Day, diving into hands-on activities like GPS mapping, peg out and shed setting, and mastering contour topography with grid books. They engaged with professional surveyors from across NSW, hearing firsthand about their journeys, career paths, and all the amazing opportunities this industry offers. To top it off, the day ended with an epic drone and plane display—talk about soaring to new heights!!!

For some, this eye-opening experience sparked interest in surveying as a future career before subject selection next term. For others, it confirmed their passion and plans to pursue further study in this dynamic field. There are plenty of work experience options too—so if you’re curious, make sure to see Mrs Gasson!
