Throwback vibes from Farrer's early days!
Check out these 1959/60 gems with some photos captured by Farrer’s then Deputy Principal, Laurie Bonnor. Laurie served as DP at Farrer in 1959 and 1960 and was also a keen photographer, capturing some memorable moments with his trusty camera.
Shown below are two historic shots from governor visit with Laurie on the left being introduced to Sir Eric Woodward by Principal Ted Smiles, a stunning 1960 aerial view of Farrer (drone-shot style decades ahead of its time!), the DP house in 1960, and Monday assembly outside the Old Bricks building gathered around Centre Lawn.
It is amazing to look back and see the people who helped shape our school in its early years. Thank you to Chris Bonner for sharing these amazing shots with us!
