Year 12 Physics visit the Coonabarabran Siding Springs Observatory

Year 12 Physics ventured off to the Coonabarabran Siding Springs Observatory for a depth study on astronomy.
With an early start they headed off and arrived with plenty of activities to take part in. Day one involved observing the Sun using telescopes, learning about Spectroscopy from other teachers and scientists and undertaking challenges throughout the day. They also had a private guided tour of the observatories telescope held by people that worked there. To finish day one off students had a night time viewing of the stars and galaxies held by previous teacher Matt Dodds. What a great start to the excursion.
