Year 7 White Baling

This week, Year 7 White Class had the opportunity to observe the baling of oaten and lucerne hay down on the school farm.

Students were very excited to see such a big machine working in front of their eyes. They learnt about how the baling technology worked and why we want to store stock feed on the farm at Farrer.

Farm Manager Mr Eather was also kind enough to lend his time to talk about the hay making operation and demonstrated to the boys how and why we test the moisture of hay bales.
