Farrer At Capers

Last week saw the return of Capers – a regional performing arts spectacular.

Student spent the week at the TRECC rehearsing music and dance items for two fantastic shows on Friday and Saturday nights.

Despite it being our leave weekend, Farrer had a number of boys involved. Jack Herden and Dylan Lowien were part of a 22-piece combined schools concert band conducted by our very own Music teacher Mr Rick Mead. The band set the scene for the whole of Capers performing in the forecourt before the show and again during the interval.

Hamish Craig, Isaac Le Pla, Lewis Lesslie, Toby Simpson and Angus Frewen were part of a combined schools rock band. Their version of “Solid Rock” had people dancing in the aisles!

Max Burr absolutely carved up the dance floor performing in a number of both solo and ensemble routines which required a considerable level of fitness and coordination.

Well done to all of the boys who were involved in what was a brilliant display of music and the arts in public schools across the region.

We invite you to book a tour of the school, ask lots of questions and see first-hand what we have to offer your son and your family. We look forward to meeting you.
