The Worlds Greatest Shave
Over the past 12 years, our Farrer senior boys’ groups have now raised an impressive $220,000 for the Leukaemia Foundation to help find a
cure, provide vital research, improve the quality of life and provide emotional support for people and families facing the challenges of
blood cancers.
This year, the Farrer Year 12 boys have raised a staggering $50,000 during their 2022 World’s Greatest Shave campaign. Continuing the
tradition and with clippers at the ready, the 2022 Farrer seniors created some eye-catching hair styles. From mullets to skullets,
from friar tucks to mohawks, the boys, parents and teachers who participated are now walking around and on display.
ONLINE AUCTION
In addition, Farrer is running an online auction until 7pm on March 27 where three sought after Football Jerseys are on offer along with

Farrer school Principal Clint Gallagher also put his own locks on the line to help the senior boys reach their initial target to raise
$20,000 which grow dramatically. “I’m happy to support the World’s Greatest Shave, the students get a kick out of me getting a buzz cut.
Well done to everyone involved. Thanks to you we exceed our target due to our enthusiastic family of fundraisers”.
The World's Greatest Shave is a fun event with a serious message - to shine a light and raise much needed funds for the Leukaemia
Foundation. Every day, 47 Australians are diagnosed with a form of blood cancer, which is one Aussie every 31 minutes. These numbers are
extraordinary, and this year’s cohort hopes to raise a greater awareness of the disorder.
