2023 Rugby Season

The 2023 Rugby season has come to an end and we have a series of exciting news to report.

On Friday night (1st September) Farrer sent 3 teams; U14s, U16s and First XV into Scully Park to play in 3 Grand Finals, an impressive result from a long season.

Today we are proud to report the Farrer First XV led by Barnaby Mount and Dusty Hagon, presented Principal Gallagher with the NW Regional Youth U18 Premiers Cup.

First XV marched out against Narrabri, a side that although they had beaten, had proven incredibly strong. The first half started well with the Farrer boys well in control of the match, some acrobatic tries from Rex Barwick and Ned Jordison, finishing the first half 10-0.

In the second half, Narrabri regathered and came back with a vengeance quickly turning the game around to take the lead 14-10. The Farrer crowd fired up and the boys dug deep to secure the win 17-14, a perfect end to an undefeated season.

Congratulations to boys, Mr Kym Hagon and Mr Gareth Garnsey for a great year of rugby.

Stay tuned for our winning reports on our U16s and U14s reports.
