An Old Boy Trip Down Memory Lane
Last week, Mark Glover and his wife Derely visited Farrer to reminisce Mark’s father Kenneth Glover who attended Farrer from 1942-1945 as a boarder.
Mark found Kenneth’s hand-written name in Farrer’s Admission Register. They also toured the Farrer Museum and found his name among the “New Faces” for 1942. Kenneth grew up on a property at Manilla. He would ride his bicycle to Farrer each term. Occasionally he would stop at Attunga Hotel for breakfast and he was also known to grab onto the rear of trucks to get a lift up the Attunga Hill.
Mark and Derely enjoyed their visit to Farrer and were very happy that they were able to tour the school and also praised how well the grounds are maintained.
