Breeza Station Excursion

Year 11 Agriculture students had the opportunity to visit Breeza Station for their ‘Farm Case Study’ unit, providing them with the chance to study and experience first-hand a modern, operating cropping and grazing business. Students investigated the various management practices that help to contribute towards the property’s continued sustainability and profitability as they travelled around the farm. It was extremely exciting to see a range of modern and innovative technologies being utilised in the field, with students enjoying a chance to examine state of the art harvesters and see an autonomous, robotic sprayer called SwarmFarm.

A huge thanks James and Andrew Pursehouse for their hospitality and showing the students around the farm and to the Refectory Staff for supplying the amazing food for a terrific barbeque lunch.
