English Extension 2 At Farrer

As a member of the ‘Fantastic Four’ Year 12 Extension class, Farrer Extension 2 student Gavril Tan is creating a non-linear, multi-tiered Major Work, a Short Fiction that layers references to historical events within a contemporary setting. Part psychological thriller and study of what makes us tick, the working title is ‘Making Modern Monsters’.

Gavril will be hosting a meeting of all E2 candidates across the Peel Valley in an English Teachers’ Association sponsored ‘E2 Writers Circle’ on Wednesday 10th May. The evening will provide support to our students with a series of lecture workshops delivered by E2 Senior Markers Lucy Solomon and Andrew Hood. A dinner party to follow will enable each writer to share their ideas, drafts and thoughts about the creative process.
