Farrer Opens Football

Farrer Opens Football team travelled to Sydney to meet Epping Boys HS in the Final 8 of the Puma Cup Knockout competition. We arrived at The Kings School, who were kind enough to let us stay in their boat house. The team enjoyed a great feed supplied by the refectory and cooked beautifully by Troy Schutt and (The Butcher) Luke Gentle.

Farrer was ready for the big game the next morning. The game started at a fast pace which took some getting used to on the synthetic pitch. Farrer played very well holding Epping out and only being 1 nil down at half time. The second half saw Epping score an early penalty. Farrer went on the attack to try and even things up, however we caught on the fast break by Epping twice more.

Outstanding players on the day were Cooper Butler in goals, Zac Walters holding up the defence and Harry Lewington working tirelessly in attack.

Congratulations to all those involved. It has been a great season and an excellent achievement for Farrer finishing top 8 in the state.
