North West Open Bowls Team

On 4th May, for the first time in a long time, Farrer took a team of students to compete in the North West Open Bowls Competition in Quirindi.

In order to make up a team to compete in this competition, Farrer Year 11 students Will Hamel, Gilly Thwaites and Lachlan Woods volunteered to play in Competition Bowls for the first time to support Year 7 student State Bowls player; Jacob Martin.

The Year 11s were briefed on the rules of play by Jacob while travelling to the competition. The Farrer team took the lead at the end of 5 Ends but ended up losing to Quirindi High School 17/12 at 18 Ends. Farrer support officer; Reg Straw treated the boys to a Chinese feed after their efforts and a job well done!

Choosing the right school for your son is very important. The best way to decide if Farrer is a good fit is by exploring our campus and talking directly with our team. We invite you to book a tour of the school, ask lots of questions and see first-hand what we have to offer your son and your family. We look forward to meeting you.
