Angus Stud

The Angus Stud runs 120 HBR breeders and with offspring totals approximately 240 head. The Angus stud is run at ‘Brewongle’ and students are actively involved in all aspects of its operation and management including vaccinations, selection of cattle, marking and collection of production data leading to the on-site annual bull sale.

The operation of the stud, and its management, is tightly integrated into the school curriculum through the Certificate III Agriculture: Beef Course. The whole curriculum is tied to the annual operational cycle of the stud.  The Annual Farrer Bull Sale is held in June and attracts buyers from all over the country.
