Feeding active growing boys is just about the most important activity in a Boarding School. At Farrer, the Refectory, also known affectionately as 'the Fec', comprises of an extensive modernised kitchen and spacious dining hall.
The Fec is staffed by professional cooks, supported by a team of kitchen and dining room assistants dedicated to the nutritional care of the students. The staff start early and finish late, seven days a week.
Catering staff are trained in hygienic practices and management of food intolerances and allergies. The menu rotates over five weeks giving the boys variety whilst remaining focussed on quality, wholesome and nutritious meals.
The Refectory received an excellent 5-Star Rating from the Scores on Doors NSW Hygiene and Food Safety Scoring program.
